1. The sealing problem of the piston and cylinder liner occurs, the oil escapes upwards, enters the combustion chamber and burns, and the exhaust gas emits blue smoke;

2. If it is a supercharged generator set, the supercharging pressure is lower due to the smaller load. The sealing effect of the turbocharger oil seal (non-contact type) is easily reduced, and the oil will enter the booster chamber and enter the cylinder together with the intake air;

3. Part of the oil moving up to the cylinder participates in combustion, and part of the oil cannot be burned. Carbon deposits are formed in the valve, intake passage, piston crown, piston ring, etc., and are discharged with the exhaust gas. In this way, the oil will gradually accumulate in the exhaust pipe of the cylinder liner, and will also form carbon deposits;

4. When oil accumulates in the boosting chamber of the turbocharger to some extent, it will leak from the joint surface of the turbocharger;

5. Long-term low-load operation of the generator set will cause more serious damage to the moving parts of the unit, worsen the combustion environment of the engine, etc., which will lead to an early overhaul period.

These effects will seriously endanger the performance and service life of the generator set. Whether using a naturally aspirated or supercharged generator set, the low-load/no-load operating time should be reduced to less. The load cannot be lower than 25%-30% of the rated power of the equipment.
