(1) Improve the sealing performance of the cylinder

One of the differences between Volvo generator set diesel engine and gasoline engine is the pressure combustion type, so the cylinder should have higher sealing performance. When the engine is cold-started in winter, because the piston ring and cylinder wall have very little oil, the sealing effect is poor, and the phenomenon of repeated starting and failure to start will occur. Sometimes due to serious wear of the cylinder, the sealing performance of the cylinder is seriously affected, making it more difficult to start. For this reason, the injector can be removed, and each cylinder is filled with 30-40ml oil to improve the sealing performance of the cylinder and increase the compression pressure.

(2) Clear the air on the oil path

Loosen the bleed screw on the high-pressure oil pump, and manually pump the oil to exhaust the air in the low-pressure oil circuit; then take the air out of the high-pressure fuel pipe. The specific method is: loosen the oil pipe joints on each injector, put the throttle valve at a large oil supply position, and rotate the crankshaft until the oil pipe joints of the injectors of each cylinder come out quickly.
